Uddevalla played host to round 10 of the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship where Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s MX1 contender Antonio Cairoli took his 60th career GP win.

Cairoli dominated the MX1 class with a 1-1 sweep of the event ahead of teammate Ken de Dycker. De Dycker used a consistent 4-2 result to earn himself the runner-up podium position.

Rockstar Energy World Suzuki’s Clement Desalle was third overall in Sweden. The Belgian rider used a solid 3-3 moto scorecard to secure the final MX1 podium position.

Honda World Motocross’ Max Nagl kicked off his day with a strong second place finish in moto one, but found himself on the ground in moto two. Nagl made his way back to 10th in moto two for fourth overall on the day.

Rounding out the top five in the MX1 class was Kawasaki Racing Team’s Gautier Paulin. The Frenchman made multiple mistakes during the day and found himself finishing up with a 7-4 scorecard.

Cairoli continues to lead the premier class championship chase by 69 points over Paulin in second place. Desalle sits third overall in points followed by De Dycker and Kevin Strijbos.

In the MX2 class it was Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings who took another overall win, continuing his perfect season with 10 overall wins to his name.

Although Herlings took the overall win, he was unable to dominate both motos following a first turn crash in moto one. Herlings would push his way through to salvage a third place finish.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Christophe Charlier took the moto one win ahead of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jordi Tixier in the runner-up position.

Herlings regrouped for moto two and took home the win followed by teammate Tixier and moto one winner Charlier. Charlier finished the day second overall followed by Tixier who rounded out the podium.

Australia’s Dean Ferris was sixth overall in Sweden using a solid 5-6 moto scorecard to sit just outside of the top five aboard his Monster Energy Yamaha.

Herlings leads the MX2 championship into round 11 with a commanding 129-point lead over teammate Tixier in second followed by Jose Butron in third. Ferris sits sixth overall in points.
