Australia’s Brett Metcalfe will line up at this weekend’s Southwick round of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.

MotoSport.com and ADR Motorsports have confirmed that the current Canadian Monster Energy Motocross Nationals MX1 series leader will join the Australian-owned team in the 450 Class.

Historically Metcalfe has done very well at Southwick with an overall victory in 2011, and with a break in the Canadian series it made sense for ADR Motorsports to step-up for the round as they already maintain Metcalfe’s practice bikes in California.

ADR Motorsports team owner David Anthony is glad to be helping the Leading Edge Monster Energy Kawasaki rider, but admits putting together the one-off deal is a large effort.

“As you can see it’s a big effort to make everything come together for this one event,” said Anthony. “We were more than happy to help in whatever way we could.”

The ADR Motorsports team has a history of offering Australian riders great opportunities in the US. Current MX2 Monster Energy MX Nationals contender Kade Mosig landed himself a seat on the team during 2013 AMA Supercross west coast series.
