Swann Insurance have signed on as naming sponsor of the Australian Vets Motocross Championship which will be run in conjunction with the Conondale and Coolum rounds of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

Round one will be held on Sunday, 2 June, with round two to follow on Saturday, 31 August and Sunday, 1 September.

The championship will feature two classes of competition – one for the 30-39 year age bracket, and one for the 40 years onwards bracket.

An additional cup class for vets 50 years and older may also be run if more than 10 entries can be attracted.

The events will allow Swann Insurance to highlight its range of tailored products and packages that will be of direct benefit to both competitors and the wider spectator base at the events.

“Swann Insurance jumped at the chance to be insurance sponsor for MX Nationals,” said Swann Insurance’s Ray Barnes. “It was a great opportunity to showcase our full suite of motorcycle insurance products and show case some of our tailored products like Off Road Rider and Rider Protection Plus that fit so well with the Motocross market.

“Our sponsorship of the Vets class fits in so well as we have been servicing the motorcycle industry for over 40 years ourselves. We are very excited about working with MX Nationals over the coming years.”

Williams Event Management used the announcement to highlight eligibility requirements for potential competitors, stating that any rider who has held a senior national licence in the last 10 years, and is 35 years or older, can apply for a single event licence to take part.

Prospective competitors can enter via the MX Nationals series website at www.mxnationals.com.au
