Recovery fund set up for injured off-road star Toby Price

A recovery fund has been set up for multiple-time Australian Off-Road Champion and desert racing legend Toby Price.

A recovery fund has been set up for multiple-time Australian Off-Road Champion and desert racing legend Toby Price, who was seriously injured in an incident earlier this month in the US.

Price suffered three broken bones in his neck, as well as a broken left thumb, in a crash on the weekend of 13-14 April and has since remained hospitalised in Palm Springs, California.

Insurance complications have forced a series of delays for required surgery overseas, which will this week see the likeable 25-year-old forced to return home to Australia for an urgent operation in Brisbane.

An agonising process of traction over the past week has stabilised Price in an effort to have him return home for the surgery, enabling him to check out of hospital earlier this morning. It’s planned for Price to travel to Australia this evening with Qantas from LAX.
