Two-time Yamaha Australian Off-Road Champion Chris Hollis is determined to bounce back in 2013 after a difficult last season as defending champion on debut with Motorex KTM Off Road Racing.

Hollis finished seventh Outright in the 2012 title chase, but did salvage third in the E2 ranks, after campaigning the 350 EXC-F for much of the season.

Now aboard the 450 EXC, Hollis is the other most capped rider in AORC history, and after a lacklustre end to 2012, the 28-year-old from Port Macquarie is single-minded about the coming season.

“This year for me is about redemption,” Hollis said. “Last year I got injured several times lost track of my setup and had my worst season ever.

“I’ve had to work hard to get back to the level I want and we’re well on the way. This weekend will tell us a lot.”

Hollis finished second in the recent Melbourne Enduro-X to commence his season, now focused on the AORC opener in Bulahdelah, NSW, this weekend.

This season will see Hollis aim for his third AORC title, previously picking up the title in 2008 and 2011 respectively.
