Williams Event Management has announced that it will introduced live broadcasting online during the Monster Energy MX Nationals in 2013.

Confirmed during the official series launch today at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales, WEM managing director Kevin Williams outlined the live plans for the season ahead.

“We’re proud to announce a new broadcast partnership with My Sport Live, where practice and qualifying, including Superpole, will be broadcast live to the internet,” Williams said.

“Wherever you are and the fans are in Australia, they’ll be able to watch live the practice and qualifying. One camera will be up in a crane, there will be interviews, and the commentary team will include Kam Williams, Dan Reardon and Harriet Davis.

“We’re really looking forward to being able to deliver to everybody who can’t get to the track to be able to experience this fantastic championship.”

While the coverage will be limited to the morning schedule during the opening part of the season, Williams confirmed that race coverage is planned – at least for Coolum’s season finale in September.

“As the technology develops, by the final round at Coolum we hope to present live, the final motos of each class in the championship,” he continued. “We’re working with out partner My Sport Live to further enhance that.”

To compliment the live feed on Sunday during events, a one hour panel show will also be featured live in 2013.

“On the Saturday afternoon at every round there will be a one hour live broadcast panel show, called the Thor Bench Races,” Williams revealed. “Kam and Harriet will be joined by Alex Gobert, plus riders and team managers from behind the scenes.”

The MX Nationals will commence at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales on Sunday, 14 April.
