The Cobram Border Junior Motorcycle Club will throw open it’s gates – and hearts – and host the Murray River Masters on 9-10 March in an effort to raise funds for Jeremy Tyndall, current Victorian A Grade Junior champion, who was injured in an accident in Coolum last year.

16-year-old Jeremy, who hails from Waaia, south-west of Cobram, impressively won the 2012 Victorian Junior A Grade Motocross Championship in Mooroopna last year at his first attempt.

Whilst competing at the 2012 Australian Junior Motocross Championship in Queensland in October the rising motocross star fell off his bike on the first corner of the 150cc race.

“It’s was devastating to hear what happened to Jeremy at the Nationals,” president of the Cobram Border Junior Motorcycle Club Rob Mestrom said.

“The motorcycling community, especially in Cobram, is extremely tight-knit and we rallied around Jezza and his family by hosting an extremely successful BCP/Macca Coaching Fundraiser in November where we raised thousands for Jeremy’s recovery.”

The Murray River Masters Jezza #37 Fundraiser will once again be a terrific opportunity to support the Tyndall family who have been involved in the sport for many years and who have also supported families from not only their club but families from other clubs.

All profits from this event, which includes entry fees, will go directly to Jeremy’s rehabilitation fund and an auction will also take place on the Saturday night of the weekend.

“I’d like to really encourage every motocross rider out there, not only in Victoria but Australia, to support one of their own by entering in the 2013 Murray River Masters on March 9-10,” Rob continued. “Every little bit helps.”

Entries are now open for the two-day event (click here for details).
