The first-ever National Come ‘n’ Try event is set to open the doors of motorcycle sport to the general public on 2 March, in a collaborative project between Motorcycling Australia, and other State Controlling Bodies.

Welcoming officers, skilled riders and officials will be on hand to provide guidance and support to make sure newcomers get the most out of their National Come ‘n’ Try Day experience.

As an added bonus, participants who have never held a licence before will receive a free Come ‘n’ Try Day licence to cover the day and will also receive a free Annual Recreational Licence.

Paul Bray, MV’s Sport & Development Manager, is excited with the initial response to the event, with a large amount of participants signing up to the unique event.

“The response to the 2013 National Come ‘n’ Try Day has been incredible,” said Bray. “We already have over 150 participants lining up to give motorcycle sport a go at Mildura MC, over 70 participants at Ballarat Rovers MC and over 70 participants at Central Vic Junior MC.

“These early figures are really encouraging and it’s great to see Victoria get behind this initiative to further grow motorcycle sport.”

The day will see a jam-packed schedule of events across the state, with a diverse menu of hands on events and activities across all disciplines of the sport.

“The 2013 National Come ‘n’ Try Day is the perfect day for anyone who has ever thought about giving motorcycle sport a go the chance to go out and try it,” Paul added.
