Carlton Dry Honda Racing is eyeing further championship success in 2013 with the announcement of a revised team structure including the new appointment of two esteemed industry identities.

Chris Woods will oversee all racing operations as the new team manager, while Pip Harrison will come on board in the newly-created role of technical adviser.

Woods and Harrison bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the line-up and have made immediate impact as the team sets forth its title ambitions.

Mike Landman becomes the dedicated crew chief for Ben Townley as part of the personnel changes, and will take dedicated charge of the former MX2 Motocross World Champion’s campaign for success on Aussie soil.

Carlton Dry Honda Racing’s commercial, marketing and public relations arm remains steadfast and consistent, with Travis Greenwood continuing in his valuable role as commercial director and the Fluid PR team taking charge of innovative communication and promotional campaigns once more.

Honda Racing director Tony Hinton felt the line-up of personnel and riders was one of the strongest in the industry and feels confident going in to season 2013.

“We enjoyed our most successful year to date in 2012 but as ever we continue to strive for more and to do this we have appointed some of the industry’s most esteemed names in leading roles,” said Hinton.

“Chris Woods’ strengths as a team manager are known by all and we feel he is perfectly suited to the role. Pip Harrison is held in the highest regard for his long-standing work with Honda – who better to join the team as technical adviser.

“Mike Landman’s move to crew chief for Ben can only be a positive one – both are charged up for a strong year. One of our goals is to emulate the structure of the successful international operations in the US and Europe and we feel the makeup of Carlton Dry Honda Racing for 2013 is on par with the best.”

Less than two months remain until the team’s first MX Nationals meet of the season at Raymond Terrace in NSW.
