TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed is focusing on moving forward after his 450SX fourth place finish at Arlington’s round seven of the Monster Energy Supercross series in Texas.

Launching to a great start in the main event, Reed saw himself holding down second place during the opening laps, before Rockstar Energy Racing’s Davi Millsaps relegated the Australian to third through the whoops section.

After comfortable in third place for the majority of the 20-lap race, Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey pushed forth making an aggressive move on Reed, stealing away the final podium position.

β€œIt was a little frustrating and not exactly the result I was after,” Reed explained. β€œI got a great start and was fighting it out up the front.

“Davi (Millsaps) got past me in the whoops and then with six laps to go Ryan put in a block pass and I nearly went down.”

After taking away a good amount of championship points in with his fourth place finish, Reed is focused on moving forward into round eight.

“We have come away with some good points tonight, the focus is to keep moving forward,” hed added.

Reed currently sits fifth overall in the 450SX points chase, 39 points behind series leader Millsaps after with 10 round of racing remaining.
