Rewind: KTM's 450 SX-F Factory Edition

Remember when KTM first introduced the 'Dungey Replica' in the US last year?

When KTM signed Ryan Dungey for last season, the Austrian brand specifically built a ‘Factory Edition’ of the 450 SX-F for homologation purposes in the US. It was a huge success and a big step forward for KTM, ultimately resulting in their first 450SX win in American Supercross and the 450 Class outdoor title.

Back then we had David Pingree test the production version of the Factory Edition in the US, when it was a very special and limited edition model. Now, the standard version is a lot closer in specification, but the 2013 Factory Edition is further refined and still has a number of trick bits that you cannot get on the stock one. The good news is, KTM Australia will release the Factory Edition in Australia this year (click here for more on that)!

So for today’s rewind, we decided to take a step back in time to relive the test that Ping put together in California about the 2012 model. Man, we’re big fans of this ride… click here to go back and read that test.
