The Red Bull KTM team are celebrating another historic milestone after emerging victorious in both the 250SX and 450SX classes at Anaheim’s round five of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series.

Up until 2011, the Austrian manufacturer had not yet stood atop of the premier class 450SX podium, but the time and effort put in by both riders and team certainly looks to be paying off.

After a slow start to the 2013 season, former Monster Energy Supercross champion, Ryan Dungey, put it all together at Anaheim III to bring home the 450SX win in dominating fashion.

Teammate and former MX2 FIM Motocross World champion, Ken Roczen, notched up his second consecutive 250SX win of the season, making it the first time in history that KTM riders have swept both of the Monster Energy Supercross classes.

This impressive feat has provided team manager Roger DeCoster plenty to smile about. DeCoster is proud of his riders and crew, but will now focus towards working even harder to assure they stay on top.

“Tonight has been a great night,” DeCoster remarked. “We are so proud of both our rider’s and the entire work our team has put in to get to this point. Now we just need to work harder to stay here.”

With the consistent improvements and recent success of the Red Bull KTM team, KTM and DeCoster have just recently announced an extension to the US team manager’s contract through to 2016.

Dungey currently sits second overall in the 450SX points standings, while Roczen leads the 250SX standings, further extending his lead with his round five win.
