Organisers of Australia’s most prestigious and long-standing FMX contest, the Narrogin Revheads in Western Australia, have announced they will no longer be running the event.

This morning Narrogin Revheads organiser Brad Chitty broke the news on Facebook that after a seven-year run, 2012 was the last time they’d hold the competition.

“It’s been a real buzz to be involved with, but sadly the event is no longer viable to put on,” Chitty said. “I’d like to thank everyone that helped to make such a great event. Revheads itself (a car show and burnout contest) will continue to run the third weekend of November.”

The competition has always been high on the ‘to-do’ list for all FMX riders, with a rich history of high-level riders showcasing their skills at each event.

The likes of reigning Red Bull X-Fighters champion Levi Sherwood, Josh Sheehan, Clinton Moore, Rob Adelberg, Steve Mini and Matt Schubring rip up the permanent course alongside a swathe of Australia’s best up-and-coming riders.
