Earlier today we uploaded the 2013 Motorcycling Australia Provisional National Calendar, which includes a number of key events scheduled for next year including the Australian Off-Road Championship.

It will again span 12 rounds, weather pending, and we here at MotoOnline.com.au are looking forward to delivering increased coverage of the series in the new year. Check it out…

Toby Price will line up at the Troy Bayliss Classic in January at Taree.

2013 Australian Off-Road Championship Provisional Calendar:
Rd1/2 – 16-17 March – Bulahdelah, NSW
Rd3/4 – 6-7 April – Warwick, QLD
Rd5/6 – 25-26 May – Corner Inlet, VIC
Rd7/8 – 29-30 June – Barossa, SA
Rd9/10 – 17-18 August – Bendigo, VIC
Rd11/12 – 7-8 September – Dungog, NSW

And of course, the 2013 Australian 4-Day Enduro will be on at Harvey in Western Australia during the dates of 17-20 July and we expect that one to be a massive one over there in WA.

Now all we have to hope for is Mother Nature to be kind to the AORC series and deliver quality weather on all six weekends of competition!

Late last week we had confirmation that Matthew Phillips will be heading to Europe next year in the world championship with Husqvarna, so that opens up a seat on the factory Yamaha team in Australia. We’re still yet to hear the official organisation on that since Geoff Ballard’s retirement, but stay tuned…

In other enduro news for this week, it was today announced that Toby Price will compete in the Troy Bayliss Classic dirt track event in Taree on 19 January alongside Motorex KTM Off Road Racing teammate Chris Hollis.

The Troy Bayliss Classic truly is turning out to be a must see event, with Price and Hollis included amongst a whos who (young and old!) of Australian motorcycle racing – the event organised by triple Superbike World Champion Troy Bayliss.

We’re definitely pumped for that and hey, considering Price’s all-round talent that has driven him to multiple titles in the AORC, the A4DE, Finke and Hattah, don’t rule him out as a potential contender come race day!

Josh Strang (seen in the film above) has been confirmed to be splitting with the FMF/RPM/KTM team ahead of 2013, but the good news is that he will return to his favoured GNCC series after a season in the WORCS.

Strang has been spotted riding a Kawasaki in the US of late, however he’s yet to announce his plans for the new year. When contacted via Facebook earlier this week, he was in a confident mood that he’ll be tying up a deal soon.

Fingers crossed it’s a solid deal for Josh, he deserves all the success in the world and we can’t wait to see him try and reclaim the title he won in 2010.
