Youthstream has announced that a long term agreement has been made for Qatar to host the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship season opening round.

Youthstream President, Mr. Giuseppe Luongo signed a long term agreement for the organization of the FIM Motocross Grand Prix of Qatar in Losail Motocross Circuit.

Included in this agreement is not only the organization of the Motocross Grand Prix but also, and especially, the development of motocross throughout the Middle East.

At the impressive circuit of Losail, within the existing structure used for the MotoGP, a motocross grand prix circuit is being constructed for a all-new night event which will be held in March 2013.

I would like to thank Mr Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya (QMMF President) for the trust given to our company and to our capabilities in promoting the FIM Motocross World Championship,” said Luongo. “Together with his competent QMMF staff who are people full of passion for motor sport we will build a strong future for Motocross in the Middle East.

“The involvement and work made by QMMF in the Motorsport is overwhelming, and thanks to the passion of its President, Qatar will become one of the most important Motocross centres in the world.

Luongo expects the night aspect of the event to make it very unique, along with live television broadcasting throughout the world.

“Holding the FIM Motocross Grand Prix of Qatar during the night will make this event unique and live television broadcasting will allow it to be followed worldwide,” he added. “This is a fantastic opportunity for motocross fans to visit the sparkling Doha for a holiday during one of the best moments of the year with an average temperature of 28 degress celcius.”
