A unique Facebook Fan Challenge could see TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed return for selected rounds of the Terex Australian Supercross Championship in 2012.

TwoTwo Motorsports yesterday announced that if the Australian Supercross Championship gains over 10,000 ‘Likes’ (previously at 4500), Reed will return home for the new-look series.

If the challenge is met, it’s expected that Reed will commence his campaign at Phillip Island’s second round at the AirAsia Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix on Saturday, 27 October.

Reed is scheduled to remain in the US until at least after the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas on Saturday, 20 October, in his race debut on the 2013 Honda CRF450R.

Reed’s last appearance in Australian Supercross came at Newcastle’s season opener in 2010, which marked his first official outing aboard a Honda.
