Cam Sinclair will be a last minute addition to this weekend’s Red Bull X-Fighters season finale on Sydney’s iconic Cockatoo Island.

The three-time X Games medallist had planned to take time away from the bike, as his newborn daughter Lotti was expected to arrive this weekend.

An early birth of his daughter and an unfortunate injury for fellow Australian, Rob Adelberg, left a spot open for Sinclair to compete.

“Lotti was due to be born this weekend so I hadn’t even planned to go to Sydney for X-Fighters, but now that she’s here early, both Brooke and her will be flying up to watch,” said Sinclair. “I’m looking forward to competing in front of her for the first time!”

Since earning his third X Games medal in as many years with a Bronze in June 2012, Sinclair had been taking some time off to spend with his wife Brooke and promote the upcoming Nitro Circus Live tour of Europe and the release of his own documentary, Twice – The Cam Sinclair Story.

“I have only really just been getting back into riding recently,” he added. So I’m definitely out of practice to compete with the best in the world in Sydney, but I’ll give it my best shot and try to do the aussies proud.”

In between competing in this weekend’s competition, fans will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Sinclair at the Coates Hire merchandise stand, where he’ll be signing autographs throughout the day.
