Australia’s 2012 Motocross of Nations squad consisting of Todd Waters, Lawson Bopping and Luke Styke have come away from the sands of Lommel with solid 10th overall ranking.

The team of MXoN rookies adapted to the all-new surroundings and put together a string of consistent finishes that would allow them to finish in a strong overall position.

Motul Pirelli Suzuki’s Waters was a standout for the team, earning himself an eighth place individual moto finish against the world’s best.

Taking out the event win and breaking the USA winning-streak was team Germany, their 2012 win served as the first-ever for the country.

Germany’s arsenal of riders consisted of Ken Roczen, Max Nagl, and Marcus Schiffer. This trio was no doubt the clear dominant force throughout the event.

Consistent and solid results were laid down by each member of the team in every moto, putting themselves in the perfect position to take the suprise win.

The home team of Belgium saw themselves sitting in the runner-up position as the event finished up, Clement Desalle, Jeremy van Horebeek and Ken de Dycker made up that squad.

Rounding out the podium in third position was the US team of Ryan Dungey, Blake Baggett and Justin Barcia, an unusual sighting for the team.

Suffering from a lack of experience in the conditions, along with crashes and mechanical issues, the team saw their second longest streak of the Chamberlain trophy ownership come to an end.
