Australia has completed the 2012 FIM International Six Day Enduro in Germany with impressive podium finishes from both our Senior Trophy team and Women’s Trophy team.

After six challenging days on the Saxony track, the Senior Trophy team of Toby Price, Matt Phillips, Glenn Kearney, Josh Strang, Daniel Milner and Chris Hollis cemented themselves as Australia’s most successful ISDE team.

Their second place finish in the World Trophy team competition landed them on the podium amongst the French winners and bronze medalists Italy.

Price also rode his way to second place individually in the Enduro 3 class, taking his place on the podium between French star Christophe Nambotin and Swedish rider Joakim Ljunggren.

Matt Phillips narrowly missed out on a class medal, finishing fourth in the Enduro 2 class behind French duo Pierre-Alexandre Renet and Johnny Aubert, and Italian pilot Alex Salvini.

Despite missing out on the podium, Phillips recorded Australia’s highest Outright result, finishing the event in overall seventh.

Phillips was joined in the Outright top ten by Strang and Price, who finished nith and 10th respectively, while Milner secured 18th, Hollis 42nd and Kearney 51st.

Jess Gardiner, Tanya Hearn and Tayla Jones earned a bronze for Australia in the Women’s Trophy team competition, scoring Australia’s second consecutive podium finish in the division.

The trio finished the event 1 hour and 58 minutes behind winning team France, and just over eight minutes behind silver medallists Germany.

Gardiner recorded the best individual result of the trio, finishing the final day of competition in sixth place. Hearn also made it into the top ten, inking her name on eighth, while Jones recorded an impressive 13th place finish on debut.
