Joel Dinsdale has been signed by GYTR Yamaha for Australian Supercross.

GYTR Yamaha has announced that junior standout Joel Dinsdale will join the team ahead of the 2012 Australian Supercross Championship in the Under 19s.

The GYTR Yamaha team will field a three-pronged rider attack for the supercross series, with 2012 team regulars Sam Martin and Wade Hunter being joined by Dinsdale as he graduates out of the junior ranks.

For Dinsdale, there is no pressure coming into the ASX, and he is excited to step up to the senior ranks.

“The team just want me to do the Under 19 series as it gives me more laps and just gain experience racing with professional riders,” Dinsdale explained.

“There is no expectation on my results other than to learn how to ride supercross properly and improve as the series goes on. I can’t wait for it to start.”

Dinsdale will finish is junior commitments at the Australian Junior Motocross Championship at Coolum, finishing the weekend prior to round one of the ASX at Dubbo on 13 October.
