Husqvarna has thrown its support behind the 2012 Yamaha WR450F Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE), signing on as a Gold Sponsor for the four-day spectacular in Warragul, Victoria, from 24-27 October.

Husqvarna’s support will see the introduction of the Husqvarna Prologue Grass Track Test, one of nine tough Special Tests set to challenge riders at this year’s event.

Chair of the A4DE committee and president of the Victorian Off-Road committee Chris Gray is excited to have Husqvarna on board.

“We are thrilled to have Husqvarna alongside this year, and we can’t wait to see the riders out there on the course tackling the Husqvarna Grass Track Test,” Gray said.

“The A4DE is the pinnacle event on the Australian Enduro calendar, and it is great to see Husqvarna getting behind it and our riders in a big way.

“There are less than two months until kick off, and the tracks, trails and tests are all coming together brilliantly.

“Riders can expect four huge days, with 275 kilometres on Day One, 250 kilometres on Day Two, 268 kilometres on Day Three and 85 kilometres and the Final Moto on Day Four. There will be 80 percent one way trail, no loops.

“Riders will face 6-7 tests each day, with nine separate tests in total – four new hand cut tests, two grass tests and three old faithful technical tests – and a grass track test every morning on the way out.

“This year we are introducing a Prologue test on the Tuesday to sort out the start order for Wednesday, and we will also have a timed special test on Day 4 on the Final Moto Track.”

Now in its 34th year, the A4DE has grown each year to become the second largest motorcycle enduro race on the planet.

The 2012 event is set to be another bumper chapter in A4DE history, with more than 350 local and international riders and their machines expected to test their mettle over four days of trail and special test action.
