A pair of two and four-wheel superstars will come together in spectacular style to launch the one-month countdown to 2012’s most-anticipated weekend of motorsport.

Freestyle motocross rider Josh Sheehan, winner of the 2011 Sydney Red Bull X-Fighters and V8 Supercar driver Craig Lowndes, a multiple winner of the Bathurst 1000, will meet on Sydney’s Cockatoo Island to setup a daring and unique stunt.

Sheehan will backflip his 450cc four-stroke Honda motorcycle over Lowndes’ 600 horsepower Holden Commodore in a show of finesse and finely-tuned skill.

Between them, the freestyle motocross and touring car events are set to attract hundreds of thousands of fans and a television audience of millions.

Internationally-recognised landmarks will form the backdrop of the stunt which will take place on Sydney’s iconic Cockatoo Island.
