De Dycker to ride for Red Bull KTM full time in 2013

KTM Motorsports has announced that Ken de Dycker has been signed to ride for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship season.

Ken de Dycker will join the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for 2013, alongside Antionio Cairoli.

KTM Motorsports has announced that Ken de Dycker has been signed to ride for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship season.

Contending in the premier MX1 class, de Dycker was brought in to the team this year to fill-in for the injured Max Nagl.

The Belgian performed well as the replacement rider and will now join five times World Champion Antonio Cairoli as the second MX1 rider for the team.

Team manager Claudio de Carli says he hopes de Dycker’s determination and solid finishes will continue throughout the remaining 2012, and coming 2013 season.

“We realized after a while that Ken was riding well and doing his best to finish in the top five,” said de Carli. “So we decided to confirm him for the whole of the current season and obviously now also for next year.

“I hope he will continue to deliver the same level of satisfaction and to make a positive contribution to the team.”

At the time of signing after the MX1 GP of the Czech Republic in Loket, de Dycker holds down a solid overall fifth in the 2012 MX1 championship standings.
