Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli swept both MX1 motos for the overall win at the Czech Republic round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Loket.

Behind Cairoli, who scored his 50th career GP win in Loket, was Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Christophe Pourcel.

Pourcel scored himself solid 2-3 moto finishes to take out the second podium position, but not before engaging in some tense battles along the way.

After suffering a rough practice and qualifying, Rockstar Energy Suzuki World’s Clement Desalle saw himself rounding out the top three with 4-2 moto scorecard.

Cairoli leads the MX1 championship chase by 30 points over Desalle in second, while Pourcel rounds out the top three.

In the MX2 ranks, it was current series leader Jeffrey Herlings who took his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine to the top, just a short amount of time after he and some team members were involved in a scary car accident.

Arch-rival and second in points Tommy Searle was unable to overcome Herlings’ speed on the Loket circuit. With 2-3 moto finishes, the Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit rider saw himself in the runner-up position.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Zach Osborne claimed his maiden podium finish in Loket. The American used a pair of fourth place finishes to land himself a third place MX2 finish.

Herlings now holds a commanding lead of 57 points over Searle, sitting in third place is Herlings’ teammate Jeremy van Horebeek.

The FIM Motocross World Championship will now roll Great Britain for round 13 of racing on 19 August.
