CDR Yamaha confirms Coppins announcement on Sunday

CDR Yamaha has confirmed that current MX1 points leader Josh Coppins will make a special announcement regarding the future of his career this weekend at Appin's round eight of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

CDR Yamaha has confirmed that current MX1 points leader Josh Coppins will make a special announcement regarding the future of his career this weekend at Appin’s round eight of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

It was originally anticipated that he would retire at the close of season 2012, however it is no secret that Dack and Yamaha have been keen on him returning for at least one more season. We will finally know the outcome this Sunday.

If Coppins does decide to retire, it’s expected that he will take up a mentor role of some description at Yamaha. For CDR, the search will commence to source a capable teammate alongside Lawson Bopping for 2013.
