Jeff Ward has played down recent rumours via Facebook about Dean Wilson’s move to the Jeff Ward Racing team for 2013 which surfaced this week.

The 2011 AMA motocross 250 class champion has been on the look out for a 450 ride next year, even though he is still eligible for one more year in the class, reports say that the Scottish-born rider feels he is now too big for the 250.

Jeff Ward Racing say they are still concentrating on their 2012 season with current team riders Josh Grant and Kyle Chisolm, and no plans have been finalised for the new year as of yet.

“While we are working very hard to finalise our plans for 2013, we do not have anything to formally announce yet,” Ward stated. “We still have five rounds to go in the 2012 outdoor season and are 100 percent committed to Josh Grant and Kyle Chisholm.

“I want to thank everyone for the continued support and interest in Jeff Ward Racing. When we have our plans finalised for 2013 we’ll be sure to make the proper announcements at that time.”
