Campbell Mining/Troy Lee Designs/Maxima Racing/Honda privateer rider Jake Moss continues to battle for 100 percent fitness from a shoulder injury, six rounds into the 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals.

Moss finished seventh overall at Hervey Bay last weekend in Queensland. He claimed seventh in moto one, fifth in moto two and then 12th in moto three to conclude the round.

However, Moss is still recovering from a shoulder injury, which attributed to his heavy moto three fall in the unrelenting sand of Hervey Bay.

“My shoulder is still a bit weak in the sand from its rebuild, which still causes a few problems in the longer motos in the sand,” Moss explained.

Now looking forward to returning to harder packed track surfaces, Moss is certain he can regain the form that saw him win the first two motos at Coonabarabran’s second round.

“I am looking forward to a bit of hard pack like Coonabaraban, where I wont need as much strength in the shoulder,” he continued.

“I was still happy to set times equal to the winners as a privateer and have no doubt that I can once again place my Campbell Mining, Troy Lee Designs, Maxima Racing Honda back on the podium.”

Moss now sits seventh in the championship with four rounds remaining for the 2012 season.
