Nick Murray UNPLUGGED!

MotoOnline.com.au hits privateer Nick Murray with a range of questions in this latest edition of UNPLUGGED!

Hailing from Benalla in Victoria, 21-year-old Nick Murray is living the true privateer life, travelling from round to round in a trusty Toyota Hiace while working a regular part-time job inbetween his racing and training.

MotoOnline.com.au threw a variety of quick questions at the current 13th place overall holder in the Monster Energy MX Nationals MX2 class, check out what he had to say.

Racing overseas

Toughest race ever?
Wanneroo nationals are always tough

Long-term goal?
Ride for a team and win championships

Favourite track?
In a recent interview I said Coonabarabran but I forgot how good the track is at Roxby Downs, SA.

If you weren’t a racer, you would be?
I would of done a trade and wouldnt be a broke ass motocrosser haha

Arch-rival?
Matt Ryan, in juniors and seniors we always seem to find each other on the track

Greatest inspiration?
James Stewart and my family

Superstitions?
Got a few things I do on the line

Training methods?
Boxing, cycling, swimming then gym for strength and core

Goal for 2012?
Top 10 MX and SX

Wakeboarding and snowboarding

Yes, keep it simple it only ever has the position im in on it

What’s on the iPod?
Its got everything, dance, metal, gangster haha what ever

Best thing about the MX Nationals?
Every thing runs on time, don’t have to wait all day to ride like most local meetings

Other sports you like?
Anything extreme, im not into ALF, cricket ect

I used to ride horses with my sister haha
