Australian Supercross will return to traditional formats on a full time basis under the promotion of International Entertainment Group.

IEG managing director Yarrive Konsky confirmed to MotoOnline this week that the four round series, scheduled for October and November, will feature traditional formats on tracks that emulate the pinnacle of the sport in the US.

In addition, Konsky confirmed the five race categories that will make up the official Australian Supercross Championship this season – a mix of senior and junior development classes.

“Supercross will run Pro Open, Pro Lites, Under 19s, Junior Lites and Junior up to 150cc (85cc two-strokes and 150cc four-strokes),” Konsky explained.

“The tracks will emulate American Supercross tracks and the formats will be traditional.”
