ICE1RACING Kawasaki has confirmed that Dean Ferris will sit out the upcoming two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Dean Ferris will sit out the next two grand prix rounds with a shoulder injury.

ICE1RACING Kawasaki has confirmed that Dean Ferris will sit out the upcoming two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Ferris will miss the GPs in Portugal and Belgium, hoping to return at Uddevalla in Sweden on 1 July, after he dislocated his shoulder in France on Sunday.

“Naturally it is disappointing to be missing two GPs during the season, but fortunately I will be able to ride after the three weeks rest in Uddevalla if recovery goes as planned,” Ferris said.

“I will travel to Portugal to cheer the team this weekend.”

ICE1RACING junior team rider Niko Koskela will substitute for Ferris both in Agueda and Bastogne, previously finishing 26th at Valkenswaard.

Ferris was also forced to sit out the opening round of the world championship at Valkenswaard in The Netherlands with a wrist injury at the beginning of the year.
