Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Toby Price has extended his lead in the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) series at rounds seven and eight held at Broadford in Victoria over the weekend of 19-20 May.

Price took the win Outright in Saturday’s Cross Country event that made up round seven, winning by 8.246 seconds over Ballard’s Yamaha Park and Fly Off-Road Team riders Daniel Milner and his teammate Matt Phillips.

In the E3 class Price took his KTM 500 EXC to victory, with Ballard’s Yamaha Park and Fly Off-Road Team’s Stefan Merriman in second, while Mitch Bowen took out third.

Sunday’s round eight of racing was a Sprint round, with Price picking up his sixth consecutive round win of 2012. He won the round Outright from fellow E3 contender Merriman on a big-bore WR450F, with Phillips third.

In E2 it was Phillips who scored the victory, ahead of Hollis and Husqvarna Racing’s Glenn Kearney.

The E1 class was won by Green, with Milner ruled out of contention after running out of fuel. Burrell improved to second, while Alex Bolton was third.

AORC action will continue at Conondale in Queensland on 28-29 July.
