Campbell Mining/TLD/Maxima/Honda privateer Jake Moss will take a fresh new approach into this weekend’s Murray Bridge round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals in South Australia.

Moss endured a year’s worth of bad luck in one weekend last Sunday at Wanneroo, but he’s now got his sights set on a strong weekend in SA before the mid-season break takes place.

“I am going to change my tactics this week,” Moss explained. “I will have my brother Tom and mechanic Bean making sure I train every day and get my diet right.

“The plan is to come out to Murray Bridge swinging, we need to turn things up before the mid season break and get on top of things going into the second half of the season.”

Moss endured his toughest round yet last week in Western Australia, forced to settle for 19th overall after failing to finish two of the three races.

“The day did not start off too well,” Moss said. “I stalled it twice in the free practice session and twice again in the first race while in a good position, leaving me 12th.

“In the second race I came into the second corner and was hit by [Jay] Marmont, we got tangled up and I went down which was unfortunate.

“Then in the final race I got a puncture in the rear tire on the first lap and that is all she wrote.”

Moss currently sits eighth in the championship heading into Murray Bridge, which marked a solid round for him in the MX2 class last season.
