Australian Motocross Championship promoter Williams Event Management has revealed via Facebook that it’s considering reducing Wanneroo’s fifth round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals to a single day event.

The series’ anticipated return to Western Australia on 12-13 May has been scheduled as a two-day event, however WEM is now reconsidering due to a lack of support class entries.

“Round four, Wanneroo, WEM is currently considering changing this to a one day event,” the post said. “Unfortunately the local WA riders haven’t supported the championship of support classes – we need 20 in each of the two support classes to run both days.”

WEM has confirmed that if the necessary numbers aren’t met, a revised single-day program for the MX1, MX2 and ATV Cup will be released.
