Larry Brooks and Jeremy McGraths L&Mc Racing has officially announced their new title sponsor Chaparral Motorsports, after a suffering a mid-season crisis when they lost their major funding sponsor.

Owners Brooks and McGrath who worked together in the late 90’s winning multiple Supercross championships started the team early in 2012 in a dream to bring back the magic.

Brooks and McGrath employed the always consistent Andrew Short to get the job done.

But injuries and sponsor issues held the team back early in the season, until all the pieces of the puzzle came together and Short took out his first-ever AMA SX win for himself and the team at the Seattle round.

“Obviously we have had tons of success together in the past,” said Brooks. “Let me start by saying Chaparral is not just a sponsor to Jeremy and I, it’s just like returning home.

“We were looking to bring back the special something, magic if you will that we had together winning three consecutive Supercross Championships in 1998, 1999 & 2000.

“It’s crazy that as soon as we all shook hands and agreed to partner up again, Andrew went out and won his first Supercross main event in the big class, it really is magical!.” Brooks added.

The King of Supercross also believes this partnership is the perfect move for the team.

“We started L&Mc Racing just before the beginning of the 2012 race season and like all race efforts we have already had our fare share of ups and downs,” McGrath said.

“Larry and I were lucky enough to be able make an agreement with Chaparral and Dave Damron to team up again and when this came up, I knew it was the right move us and for our race team.”

Chaparral and L&Mc Racing will be announcing more of their new plans for the team in the coming weeks.
