Australia’s Dean Ferris has qualified 19th for round three of the FIM Motocross World Championship at Fermo in Italy.

The ICE1RACING Kawasaki rider is recovering from his elbow injury well and his results continue to rise.

“I didn’t have a good start, the track was a bit sketchy at times. We need more training”, commented Ferris after his qualifying race. “The hand is in good condition and it doesn’t affect the riding.”

Gautier Paulin and Tommy Searle dominated the MX1 and MX2 qualifying races respectively.

The MX1 qualifying race was disputed between Paulin and Christophe Pourcel, who exchanged the lead during the whole heat, but it was Paulin who obtained the final victory.

Third was Ken De Dycker and Bobryshev and Sebastien Pourcel completed the top five. Clement Desalle and Antonio Cairoli made several mistakes during the qualifying race and they finished eighth and 13th respectively.

Steven Frossard took part in the qualifying race but he crashed and had to stop in the pit lane because he could not stand the pain. Tomorrow he will try to take part in the warm-up, but his presence in the main races is still uncertain.

Searle commanded the MX2 qualifying race almost from the beginning and his teammate Joel Roelants was second, followed by red plate holder Jeffrey Herlings.
