Coonabarabran MX1 moto wins a confidence boost for Moss

Campbell Mining Troy Lee Designs Maxima Honda Racing’s Jake Moss took two impressive MX1 moto wins at Coonabarabran’s round two of the Monster Energy MX Nationals, boosting the privateer’s confidence for the coming rounds.

Moss swept the first two MX1 motos at Goanna Tracks only to fall in the final moto and take a 16th place finish, resulting in third place overall.

After being sidelined for several months due to injury in the lead-up to the 2012 season, Moss lined up a last minute deal with the privateer team.

His performance so far on the track has shown that he and the team have what it takes to run with the factory outfits.

“I was frustrated after the third race but I will take away the positives,” said Moss. “I have to remember that I haven’t been long back on the bike after last year’s injuries which kept me sidelined for several months.

“My team and dad have been right behind me and I have renewed confidence that I can run up front on my Honda CFR450.”

Moss will looking to minimise his mistakes when round three commences at Wonthaggi in Victoria on 28-29 April.
