Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Ben Townley remains in a stable condition at Armidale Hospital following his incident at the Monster Energy MX Nationals yesterday.

Series leader Townley crashed early on in practice at Coonabarabran and suffered a dislocated hip, airlifted out of the Goanna Tracks venue after being stabilised by Suzuki RACESAFE.

Townley underwent intervention last night, with an official update on his condition expected to be released early next week following further scans.

A potential return date or estimated recovery period is yet to be confirmed by medical staff.
