Zero Seven Motorsport’s Adam Monea says he is not ruling out MX2 championship hopes after a solid finish at round one of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Conondale.

Monea came into the series looking to be consistent and finish inside the top six or seven. He did just that by finishing fifth overall at the opener.

With his plan coming together well and his results better than expected, Monea believes he can give himself and his team a good shot at winning the championship.

“My goal coming into the series was really to just be super consistent throughout the opening rounds and try to establish some solid points,” said Monea.

“Being inside the top six or seven in every race is going to be the key in the early stages.

“As the series progresses I aim to continue improving and win some races, to give myself and the team a good shot at winning the championship.”

Look for Monea to be aiming for the podium this weekend at round two of the Monster Energy MX Nationals in Coonabarabran, NSW.
