Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing's Ford Dale has spent time in New Zealand with teammate and MX1 championship leader Ben Townley after the Conondale opener.
Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Ford Dale has spent time in New Zealand over the past two-weeks with teammate Ben Townley, in preparation for round two of the MXN series at Coonabarabran, NSW.
Dale says the time spent with Townley has been very beneficial, they spent time working on weak areas in his riding and doing fitness training together.
“It’s been awesome spending two weeks with Ben,” said Dale. “He has a lot of experience and has helped me a lot.
“We’ve worked on a few weak spots and different areas of my riding, as well as getting in a lot of fitness training.”
Townley commented that having a younger, enthusiastic rider such as Dale with him is always a good thing.
“Ford came back to New Zealand with me after Conondale which has been really good,” said Townley. “We have had great weather and we got in some great riding at my home track.
“It’s always good having someone to ride with who is younger than yourself and very keen and enthusiastic.”
Dale will head to Goanna Tracks this weekend to contest in the MX2 class where he sits second in points, just one point behind leader Kirk Gibbs.
