National off-road series continues this weekend in Wonthaggi

The 2012 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship heads into Wonthaggi, Victoria this weekend for the third and fourth rounds of the series.

Chris Hollis and Toby Price will be sprinting from start to finish this weekend in Wonthaggi.

The 2012 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship heads into Wonthaggi, Victoria this weekend for the third and fourth rounds of the series.

In Wonthaggi the riders will be faced with two rounds of sprints in conditions with predicted to be rough and very dusty.

Motorex KTM Off-Road rider Toby Price currently leads the Outright class with Stefan Merriman second and Glenn Kearney third.

Whilst leading the Outright class Price also leads the E3 class, with Merriman once again in second position followed by Scott Keegan, Price will be aiming to extend his leads in both classes.

In the E2 class is is Tasmanian Matt Phillips of the Ballard’s Off-Road team who leads, with Glenn Kearney second, while defending E2 and Outright champion Chris Hollis sits in third after a derailed chain put him out of contention in the first round.

The E1 class is also shaping up to be a close battle with Ballard’s Off-Road’s Daniel Milner leading by eight-points over Ben Burrel while Josh Green rounds out the top three.
