Expect big things from the Axis Motorsports Kawasaki Maxima team in 2012.

Axis Motorsports is coming into the outdoor season swinging after confirming its all-new outfit for 2012 with Kawasaki and Maxima Oils now onboard, plus some fresh talent, introducing Team Axis Motorsports Kawasaki Maxima.

The team has announced that Ben George and Mitch Norris will be racing in the highly competitive Under 19s class for the Monster Energy MX Nationals this year.

With Axis Motorsports being renowned for high performance, race-winning suspension and engines, they will be entering the season with a strong line-up of bikes and riders.

Team owner Andrew Hopson says his goal is to win the championship in their maiden year, which will benefit from Pro Circuit support.

“In all my years of being involved in racing I’ve never been more excited about going racing than I am this year,” Hopson said. “Our goal is to win the championship in our maiden year.”

Ben George says he feels very fortunate and that hard work does pay off.

“I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity, last year it was just me and my parents.” said George.

“To have these companies want to support me makes me feel rewarded, knowing that hard work can pay off.”

Mitch Norris says he came from riding borrowed bikes, to now having the best bikes on the line come race day.

“Last year I rode borrowed bikes, some with engines done, some with standard suspension, two-strokes, 4- strokes, basically anything I could get to the starting line,” said Norris.

“I’ve been testing with the team quite a few times now and I feel confident knowing my bike is not only going to be setup the same every race, but it will be the best bike on the starting line come race day.”

The Axis Motorsports Kawasaki Maxima team will debut at the first round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Conondale in Queensland on 1 April.

The team will be supported by Kawasaki, Pro Circuit, DID chains, NGK Spark plugs, Artrax braking components, IRC Tubes, Cycra, Oakley, Alpinestars, Five Three Designs, Browns Graffix, Kwala , Uni Filter, Dunlop and Steve Cramer Products for thier help with Maxima, TLD and Zeta.
