Husaberg Australia has today announced that Scott Keegan will ride an FE 570 in national off-road events for the 2012 season, primarily focusing on the Australian Off Road Championship (AORC).

The 20-year-old from Jilliby on the Central Coast of New South Wales will spearhead Husaberg’s national campaign, contesting the big-bore E3 category of the AORC, Australian Four-Day Enduro and other selected events.

“I am really enjoying the FE 570 so far and have been able to complete a fair bit of testing during the past couple of weeks,” Keegan said. “The bike is unique and I’ve been feeling better and better on it with every outing. I have a good setting to start with, so we’ll keep working on it during the year.

“For this season I definitely want to finish on the podium at most rounds of the national off-road series and I have always wanted to win an Australian championship. If I could achieve that then it would be a dream come true for me.”

Last year saw Keegan finish fifth in the E3 title chase, scoring a best result of second at round three of the series at Hedley in Victoria. The opening round of this year’s AORC series will take place at Dungog in New South Wales on 10-11 March (postponed from 25-26 February).
