JDR Motorsports owner Jay Rynenberg has reflected on the long road to success as his team landed their first ever Monster Energy AMA Supercross podium last weekend at San Diego.

Current Australian Pro Lites Motocross and Supercross Champion Matt Moss raced to third in the West Coast Lites main event, handing the JDR/J-Star/KTM team its first ever top three in the U.S.

“It’s been a long road getting to this point,” Rynenberg said. “Everyone on the team has worked incredibly hard to advance our team and it is very rewarding to see the pay off.

“Moss had a few bad years in a row and we picked him up a year ago and built him back up in Australia and now we are standing behind him in the U.S.

“He is a very dedicated and hard working rider and I am very proud of him and the team.”

The team will now turn its attention to the East Coast Lites, where Malcolm Stewart and PJ Larsen will take up the team’s 2012 assault.

Moss will head back to Australia this week to work on a number of things with the Moss Institute.
