Weather postpones opening rounds of AORC series

The first two rounds of the 2012 Yamaha AORC have been postponed to 10 and 11 March due to wet weather.

The Australian Off Road Championship season opener has been postponed by two weeks.

The first two rounds of the 2012 Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship (AORC), originally scheduled for 25 and 26 February, have been postponed to 10 and 11 March due to wet weather.

It has been determined that the course that has been set will be impassable due to flooded rivers and creeks. A new course will be set that will bypass the need to cross rivers and creeks. The special tests will still be on the same properties.

Host club Dungog Motorcycle Club have requested the additional two weeks to get the course set and obtain the necessary approvals for the new course.

The closing date for round one and two entries will now be last mail on Friday, 2 March. All entries already received will be moved to the new dates, unless a request for refund is received at [email protected] before Friday 24 February.

Senior riders who do not have full road registration will still require an Unregistered Vehicle Permit (UVP). UVP forms can be downloaded here. The closing date for UVP’s will be extended to Friday, 24 February.
