The 2012 Motorex KTM Off Road Racing Team will open its season this weekend.

A total of five riders will do battle for the Motorex KTM Off Road Racing Team this weekend when the first major national off-road event of the year takes place at the Melbourne Enduro-X.

To be contested on Saturday, 4 February, at Broadmeadows MX Park in Victoria, Motorex KTM Off-Road Racing will feature Toby Price, Chris Hollis, Ben Burrel, Ben Grabham and team manager Brad Williscroft in one of the most anticipated outings of the year.

The Enduro-X circuit is a man-made course that is littered with rocks, logs, tyres and materials to challenge the nation’s top riders, with a format that will see riders go head-to-head for over $5000 in prize money during the Pro competition.

Price will campaign the brand new 2012 model 500 EXC, Hollis the 350 EXC, Burrel the 250 EXC-F and Grabham the 350 SX-F in the Pro ranks, while Williscroft will return to racing in the Over 35s aboard a 250 EXC. He looks forward to the team’s first event of 2012.

“It is our first hit out of the year and it will be a great event for the team,” Williscroft said. “Last year’s event was rained out, but it looked like an awesome track.

“This year the organisers are going all-out again and the forecast is looking good, so we are looking forward to racing on Saturday – hopefully some good results to start the season.”

Gates open at 10.00am on Saturday before qualifying kicks off at 11.00am, with tickets only available at the gate. The event is scheduled to be broadcast on Speed TV Australia over the coming months.
