American Honda has confirmed that Trey Canard suffered serious back injuries in his crash during the main event at Los Angeles Dodger Stadium on Saturday night.

The Team Honda Muscle Milk rider was involved in a crash on the opening lap of last night’s Supercross Class with Ryan Morais, which happened after Canard couldn’t complete the triple.

Canard injured his back in the incident – which caused a red flag in the main event – with Honda confirming that an MRI this morning showed fractures, which the doctors are evaluating.

The talented Canard has 100-percent feeling in his legs and is currently awaiting the decision by his doctors as to whether or not his injury requires surgery.

American Honda will release additional news on Canard’s condition as it becomes available.
