Motul Pirelli Suzuki team manager Jay Foreman has officially spoken out about the team’s rider line-up ahead of the 2012 season.

In a blog distributed by Suzuki, Foreman revealed that previously announced Pro Open signing Todd Waters will be joined by British import Steven Clarke this season.

Clarke will ride the team’s Pro Lites entry after a promising Super X season with Suzuki, marking his first full time ride in Australia.

Alongside Waters in the Pro Open class for the MX Nationals could be Kiwi Cody Cooper, with both set to contest the New Zealand Motocross Championship for Suzuki.

“[Clarke] will be back with the team full time next year in the Lites, both in motocross and supercross, so that’s something that we look forward to as a team,” Foreman said.

“We have also signed Todd Waters to join the Motul Pirelli Suzuki team for 2012. Todd is a very talented young rider from North Queensland and we are confident he will be a great addition to the team in Pro Open.

“It also looks like New Zealand’s Cody Cooper will return for the outdoors once again. Cody has experience from racing all around the world and was very fast before he got injured earlier [last] year.

“At this time we look forward to entering Todd in the NZ Championships before the first round of the MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, which will be held in Queensland on April 1st.”

It’s expected that outgoing rider Daniel McCoy will join the Hart and Huntington team in 2012 after finishing third in the Pro Open class of Super X last year.
