New marketing deal could boost JDR Motorsports team in the U.S.

JDR Motorsports is hoping to transfer its success in Australia to the U.S. in 2012.

Australian-owned motocross operation JDR Motorsports has inked a new marketing deal in the U.S. in a bid to attract more sponsorship for its AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross program.

The team has announced that it has chosen PCGCampbell (PCGC) to manage the marketing-communications/sales operation for its American team.

“Last year was a building season,” said JDR owner and founder Jay Rynenberg. “We’ve had great success racing in Australia and now we’re aiming to do the same in the U.S.

“In fact, we’re continuing to support our Australian team, which is an ideal stepping-stone for aspiring riders to try the U.S.”

With the Australian-based JDR Motorex KTM team earning four titles in the past two seasons, Rynenberg is hoping his team can emulate that success in the AMA with 2012 signings Matt Moss, PJ Larsen, Malcolm Stewart and Ryan Marmont (East Coast SX only).

KTM Motorcycles returns as a JDR sponsor in the U.S. along with J-Star Motors, Bell, Dunlop, Renegade and more. But as JDR continues to boost its American team, the new marketing deal is vital for their growth.

“We’ve assembled a stellar group of riders to compete for U.S. championships and now we’re partnering with PCGCampbell to help us develop long-term relationships with new sponsor-partners,” added Rynenberg.

“We’re looking to do a lot more than slap a logo on a helmet. PCGC has compiled an impressive relationship-marketing record across an array of industries, which we’re expecting to tap into so we can reach our lofty goals in the U.S.”

PCGCampbell, one of the nation’s largest privately held marketing firms, has represented numerous clients in action sports, including Yokohama Motorsports, Ford Racing, the NHRA Motorsports Museum, Edelbrock, OP and Hurley.
