Axis Motorsports linked to Kawasaki Under 19s deal for next year

Axis Motorsports is expected to switch from Honda to Kawasaki for 2012.

Axis Motorsports has been linked to Kawasaki for the 2012 Australian motocross and supercross season, expected to field their official Under 19s program.

It’s all but confirmed that the team will switch from Honda to Kawasaki for 2012, however it’s believed that riders are not yet signed at this stage.

This season saw Axis Motorsports field Cody Mackie, Kieron Hall, Adam Monea and Justin Macdonald during Super X and the MX Nationals in the Pro Open and Pro Lites categories.

Speculation began to emerge during Super X that the team would switch to Kawasaki for next season, and that move will likely be officially announced in January.

Axis Motorsports is the Australian distributor of Factory Connection, run by renowned technician Andrew ‘Hoppo’ Hopson.

Team 07, which partnered Axis this season in running the team, will part ways for next year, potentially fielding its own team that could include both Mackie and Monea in the pro ranks.
