Two-time Monster Energy Super X Lites champion Matt Moss has admitted that consistency has been a major part of his plan when chasing a third career title in 2011.

Moss is in line to capture a third title tomorrow night when the series wraps up in Ipswich, but he says the plan to ride consistently and take wins as they come has all been part of his preparation for the U.S. in 2012.

Just three points or more will seal the deal for JDR Motorex KTM’s Moss, but he’ll still be looking to win the 15-lap main event, which would be his fourth of the season.

“I feel really good and obviously for me the main thing is to win the championship tomorrow night,” the 23-year-old said. “I’m not going to push the boundaries, just plan on doing what I need to do to win this championship.

“Consistency has been great for me this year, which will be really important heading to America next year. I’m confident and can’t wait to get started.”

Joining Moss in the Pro Lites title race is Queensland local Brenden Harrison, who sits third in the series after crashing out of last weekend’s penultimate round.

Harrison still stands a mathematical chance at the title, now 23 points in arrears of Moss.

This weekend will also be Moss’ final race on home soil before joining the JDR Motorsports team in the AMA fulltime next season.
